Pacific Ocean
My crazy family took a fun trip to the ocean the week before Christmas. It was freezing, but thanks to Grandma Blackner we stayed in an amazing resort right on the water with a heated pool and beautiful hot tub. Every suite had it's on washer, dryer, and gas fireplace which also came in handy when we got all wet. The highlight of the trip for me was on the first day my whole family, minus Dan and Brittan who weren't in from Philly yet and Steve who had to work (thanks, hon), went on a walk on the beach. We threw the football and frisbee around, the boys got completely wet, and Uncle Joe taught my boys had to really dig in the sand. At one point, the family was all facing the ocean at which time I snuck backwards and unbeknownst to them stripped to my swimsuit and charged into the freezing Pacific Ocean water. I must admit that my adrenaline made it so it wasn't nearly as cold as anticipated and the look of shock as my white body went past was reward enough. So that was my polar dip for the year. Unfortunately, it wasn't on January 1st when many others make the plunge, but I will count it just the same. Overall, the trip was very relaxing and fun. My boys could have swam in that outdoor, heated pool forever. Thanks Dad for making us go!

You little dare devil! I love it!
You didn't mention THIS polar bear plunge! You're even crazier than the rest! ;) I'll keep it PG and just say you have some serious guts!
Love it, Steph! I can totally picture you doing that!
Crazy lady. And I can't even say, "If I'd been there, I would've done it with you!" Because I'm not crazy.
On the other hand, you do have some contagious enthusiasm...
You are hilarious!! I love you! So glad you got your polar dipping in for the year :) and that your family had a great time being together. Sad I wasn't able to see you more when we were home... hopefully we will catch up another time :). Love you!!!
