Christmas Day

In our first Christmas alone as a family, we were lucky to be taken care of by good friends and neighbors. Upon arriving home from a Christmas Eve party, our neighbors surprised us with a bag full of presents. Julie made each of the boys their own fleece blanket and Shelly provided each with a toy. The boys loved it and I think those blankets are going to be a favorite. They are so warm and cute.

Christmas morning was obviously a lot of fun, but more relaxed than in previous years. When Thomas opened up a pirate ship from Grandma Blackner, we all stopped opening and took about an hour to put the thing together. We then took a break for sourdough pancakes. In all, we opened and played until about 1 pm. It was a lot of fun. In the afternoon, we joined our favorite neighbors for Christmas dinner with their family. Steve played Rock Band to his hearts content. That might be our first purchase when we make real money. Forget a new house. Rock Band it is.

They fell asleep together on Christmas Eve.

Hewitt loves his new boots and train set.

What a mess!

Donny's present of this air ball popper from Grandma Smith turned out to be their present of the day. Donny and Hewitt played with it for at least five hours.
Hope everyone's Christmas was wonderful. It was nice to have time to reflect on our blessings and to celebrate our Saviour's birth. Merry Christmas.

Steve-Our little boys are very alike. We do the Playmobile pirate ships, Thomas the Train, and all that stuff. Gotta love little boys. They keep me on my toes, and they especially keep Mom on her toes, anyways, just wanted to say Merry Christmas and your family is beautiful.

Merry Christmas! I hope you guys didn't miss home too much! Sounds like they are getting more snow in Seattle than we are! Your kiddos are like mine, they have to stop to open each toy package before moving on! Drives me crazy, but we're supposed to be relaxed all day! Hope you had a good one!:)

I am so jealous that you got to do your very own Christmas. Kenna has been missing Thomas a lot lately. She still says he is her handsome Prince and is 100% convinced that she will marry him one day. Hey do you all plan on going back to WA to practice? Brad is looking at a few places there. Love you tons

Can't believe I haven't seen your blog until just now. Your boys are adorable and you two look fantastic as always. We miss you guys--come set up shop somewhere warm. We could use a great dentist down here!
