Thomas, on the other hand, ran through the entire patch picking up pumpkins and talking incessantly about jack-o-lanterns and Halloween. He also gave a running commentary on the status of each of the pumpkins. He was definitely a dedicated raspberry picker despite the fact that he won't eat them. He was proud of his efforts.

We finished the day by picking a half bushel of amazing, crisp apples. My boys had their share of tasting before we left the orchard trees. Hewitt even tried this nasty one that had fallen on the ground. Oh well, what can you do.
The time flew by and about three hours later, we had worn the boys out. They slept all the way home. For as much dread as I have for the Detroit winters, I need to have as many positive Michigan experiences as possible. So thank goodness for the Fall and thank goodness for good neighbors.

I got here right after the new post. Lucky me! Fresh donuts sound so yummy, the smell alone would be heavenly. Picking apples sounds like great fun too. I would have loved to hear all that Thomas was saying. He never stops.
Love it! We are going to a local farm tomorrow for similar fun, although I'm a bit worried about the weather. A low of 29 and a high of 52...at least it will be sunny! Hopefully I can keep Jonathan warm...
And you know I'm with you with fall being the best season of the year. I wish we could do Thanksgiving together again this year! (Was that just a year ago??)
I love fall! I am just discovering the fun farms around here, too. I keep comparing everything to Linvilla. :)
I didn't know you had a blob? I enjoy reading the updates. Good work!

I am so glad that we could go with you to the cider mill. Fun times...more to come
These are great fall pictures. I especially love the one of Hewitt sitting on the pumpkin. So cute.
Wish we could go pumpkin-patching together!
